Għannej Għannej

During 2023, over a period of four months between February and May, għana came back to life with
a number of sessions around Gozo. Every Sunday morning a particular square in a village was chosen
where various groups made their performances.

The whole programme with the title Għannej Għannej came to an end towards the end of May when
a mass was held in the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Fontana, which mass was animated by
the għannejja themselves.
