The Church dedicated to Our Lady, or as it is known, Ta’ Savina, has recently undergone extensive restoration work by workers within the Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Ministry for Gozo and Planning). Work carried out included plastering and replacement of stonework, work on the dome, restoration of the iron beams in the presbytery ceiling, and restoration of the wooden apertures. Other work, this time by contractors, included restoration of the decorative glass and upgrading of the lighting system. Restoration work will soon be carried out on the exterior of the Church.
