The month of October has become synonymous with a number of events related to the Opera that are organized on the island of Gozo and that are sought after by many Opera enthusiasts. This year, on Saturday October 14, 2023, the classical Opera “Madama Butterfly” by Puccini will be presented in the Aurora Opera theatre, while on the 26th and 28th of ‘ October, 2023, in the Astra Opera theatre, will be staged Verdi’s distinguished Opera with three acts, “Rigoletto”, the first opera of Verdi’s famous trilogy which also includes “Il Trovatore” and “La Traviata”.
Apart from the Operas, concerts, exhibitions, as well as workshops and other activities are held during this month for all those interested.
This programme is coordinated by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within the Ministry for Gozo.
